Love is?

In “Thoughts from the clouds”, my 31st thought was a simple yet bold one: I said that Love is underrated. I didn’t mean the form of  love that exists between a man and a woman or a parent and a child, I meant the patient love that exists between a person and their dreams, goals, and aspirations. Love essentially maps out the route for success. Through patience, humbleness, composure, good will, trust and faith, success is imminent.

For most, the love of an art, craft or hobby is formed at a very young age and you can see it. While working at Laker camp this has become noticeably clear to me. You can easily see the kids who are starting to love the game of basketball vs the ones who were forced to attend. Occasionally you can also see the kids that will become future criminals and sociopath’s.

A true love for something cannot be forced upon anyone, (note to parents, don’t force your kids into anything, they will hate it and you), it has to be discovered. This may be a bit too deep for some of you but we are beings that are capable of shaping and molding our reality, we can turn our thoughts into actions and make our dreams come true. Love is the catalyst, it never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

You know what my love is.

  1. Like this post a lot – in our society it can be really easy to get caught up in things that you don’t have a real passion for, because of superficial reasons
